About HRVH

Hudson River Valley Heritage (HRVH) is a digital library that provides visitors with free access to search and browse historical materials from the collections of libraries, archives, museums and historical societies located in the following counties of New York State: Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Rockland, Orange, Putnam, and Westchester.

Our partners are continually adding new material to the digital collections of photographs, maps, letters, postcards, manuscripts, scrapbooks, programs from events, memorabilia and ephemera, oral histories and much more. Historical newspapers from the region can be found at our companion site: HRVH Historical Newspapers.

When you view items in HRVH, keep in mind that they typically represent only a small percentage of the materials held by the organizations that contribute to the website. Please feel free to contact any of the contributing institutions for more information about their collections.

HRVH is coordinated by Southeastern NY Library Resources Council (SENYLRC).

Please visit the Become a Partner page to learn more about our services and find out how your organization may participate in HRVH. You may also contact Jennifer Palmentiero, Digital Services Librarian at SENYLRC (jennifer@senylrc.org OR (845) 883-9065 x116).
