DescriptionThis document represents transcribed selections from the diaries and correspondence of Susan Bard Johnston who lived from 1772 - 1845 (daughter of Dr. Samuel Bard) edited by her great granddaughter, Euphemia Johnson, All Saints Day, 1930. In 1998, this was given to Bard College by Stephen Wallis and his brothers, to whom the manuscript was left by their mother, who died in 1996; her mother was Alice Sumner, of Delavan, Wisconsin, a distant relative of Dr. Bard.
