This digital copy has been intentionally sized to include the edges of the paper for showing its weathered condition. The original was part of the displays of Saugerties history at the information booth set up in the old Grand Union Plaza frontage on Rt. 212 during the months before and after the 25th Anniversary of the Woodstock Festival in 1994. It is presented here as a physical object representative of that period. The creator of this interpretive poster, Michael Sullivan Smith, also established the information booth. This facility, with its more permanent printed plexiglas display, were afterward donated by him to the Saugerties Business Association and they moved it to opposite northbound NYS Saugerties Thruway Exit 20 at the McDonald's.
In 2001 the printing screens for the original were donated to the Boys and Girls Club, Kingston Chapter, along with the equipment to run a full printing studio in their planned new Saugerties building. This was all removed from the old building when it was demolished, and lost.
