Description	This photograph depicts the residences of Miss Lillie O. Estabrook and Frank Estabrook, located at 202 and 204 Montgomery Street in Newburgh, NY. An older woman is seated on the porch with a younger woman standing by her side and holding a small child; seated on the lawn is a man with a older child on his lap. The man may be Frank Estabrook holding his son, Harry, and the younger woman may be his wife, Miss Waring, holding her daughter, Marguerita. The other half of the house was the residence of Lillie Estabrook, Frank's sister, who was the city librarian for many years. The house was designed by Frank E. Estabrook.
Notes	Estabrook's work included the Broadway School and the Liberty St. School in Newburgh and the Unionville School in East Coldenham, NY. Public buildings included the Town Hall in Walden, NY, and the George and John R. Hunt Memorial Building erected in 1915-1917 by the Women's Christian Temperance Union in Ellenville, NY According to his obituary (Newburgh Daily News, May 25, 1918), Estabrook also designed the Infants' Home at Mount Loretto, Long Island, and drew up plans for the dock and buildings of the Central-Hudson Steamboat Company. In conjunction with New York architects, he prepared the plans for the Newburgh Y.M.C.A. building, and of the extension of St. Luke's Hospital. Private homes were designed by Frank Estabrook for notable Newburgh residents including Captain George Woolsey and Dr. Charles Townsend. Estabrook also had a sister named Hattie C. Deyo of Mount Vernon. He was the son of Charles (also a city librarian) and Susan Marshall Estabrook. A member of Hudson River Lodge, No. 607, F. and A.M., Estabrook was one of the organizers of the Rotary Club. He was instrumental in the formation of the Dutch Arms of the American Reformed Church. Frank son's Harry studied electrical engineering at the Polytechnic Institute in Brooklyn. Frank Estabrook drowned in a swimming pool at the school while visiting his son.
