Description	Actress Katherine Cornell and friends in Italy. Gert Macy is next to Cornell, the driver. Back seat, from left : Margalo Gilmore, Brenda Forbes, Nancy Hamilton. The ladies were on a USO tour in Italy, at the end of World War II, when the picture was taken, and the play they were performing was the Barretts of Wimpole Street. Katherine Cornell, well-known stage and movie actress, lived in Rockland county. Her early family background includes a soldier who was in the Niagra Campaign in 1814. Miss Cornell is buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo, N.Y.
