Where as a road was laid out according to a Law passed 23 April 1823 from Nyack to the Orange Turnpike in the County of Rockland
Then as to certify that in the month of Nov. last I was appointed foreman by the neighbors of Nyack to work on that part of the said road laying between the Houses of Abraham Lydecker and Abraham S. Stevens the distance of about half a mile- and that that are two bridges made on said road of about seven feet wide and three feet deep, that the whole of said half mile is now nearly fit for use, and that I superintended the same, and that it has been done at the expense of One Hundred and Fifty seven dollars and Eighty three cents. ~ Simon Van Antwerp
