Notes	The National Park Service placed a plaque on this structure, dated 1968. It reads: "John Burroughs Riverby Study / has been designated a / National Register / Historic Landmark / under the provisions of the / historic sites act of August 21, 1935 / This site possesses exceptional value / in commemorating or illustrating / the history of the United States / U.S. Department of the Interior/ National Park Service / 1968" It is a small cabin that John Burroughs built and sided with Chestnut Bark on his farm at Riverby as a writing study.
