“This picture is of my mother’s family taken in 1904 on the steps of the house where Stuart Glenn now lives. . .
The front row, far right, my mother, Margaret Denniston and Aunt Lefevre Jenkins.
Second row - far right, Kenneth Hasbrouck’s father, Josiah with his parents standing behind him.
Second row - 4th in –Mary Lefevre Van Wagenen, grandmother of David Van Wagenen.
Second row – first, Irving Lefevre, father of Reverend Benjamin Lefevre.
Third row sitting – Second is Sarah Mae Hasbrouck, John Delameter’s grandmother, third, is Ethel Wilklow, fourth and fifth, my grandparents, Susanna Church Lefevre and Josiah Lefevre.
Grandfather’s sister, Gertrude is seated second on the second row next to her son, Peter, Jean Linden’s father.
The last row before my great grandparents is Cornelius Van Orden, grandfather’s sister, Cornelia, he was known as Neil.
Top row, left – Henrietta Lynet – "Henrietta was far more than a cook. From what my mother said, she ran about everything, and did it very well. When one of the children or grandchildren were sick, she would go and nurse them. Mother said she saved her life when she was two years old. She put her in a bath of warm vinegar to allow her to breath again.
When Henrietta got old, they asked what they could do for her and she said she wanted a very large tombstone. She got it. It is the largest tombstone in the Black cemetery at the corner of Rt. 300 and 208 in Wallkill, New York. Many times mother would point up at that stone and say there is where Henrietta is buried.”

In the 1900 census, Henrietta Lynet was listed as being 45 years of age. She was living with Josiah P. and his wife Mary DuBois in Gardiner, New York. The census states that she was born in New York January 1855. She could read and write, was single and her parents were also born in New York.
From the Dec. 9, 1904 New Paltz Independence about the photograph: "A fine specimen of the work done by Mr. H. L. Schultz is a photograph of a group of 20 persons, taken on the front steps of Mr. Josiah LeFevre's residence on Thanksgiving Day, comprising of Mr. & Mrs. LeFevre and their children and grandchildren."
