Notes	Surname spellings and their variants: Lefevre, Lefever; Hasbrouck, Hasboruck. According to the NY 1800 Census, Abraham Vandermark had nine enslaved Africans living at his homestead. In 1810 Jacob J. Hasbrouck had two slaves and two free people of color in his household.

Transcript	Know all men by these presents that I Ezekiel Eltinge Administrator of the Estate of Abraham Vandemark Deceasd of the Town of new paltz in the County of ulster and State of new york. For and in consideration of the Sum of Twenty five Pounds of Lawful money of the State aforesaid To me in hand paid by the Said Jacob J. Hasbrouck. the Receipt whereof I do hereby Ackknowledge and myself to be therewith fully satisfied-----Have Bargained and sold and by these presents. Do Bargain Sell and Confirm unto the Said Jacob J. Hasbrouck A Negro Male Slave named Tom. Also a Negro female Slave named Mol. To have and To have and To hold the Said Negro Slaves unto the said Jacob J. Hasbrouck his Executors Administrators and Assigns for ever - In witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this tenth Day of June one thousand Eight Hundred and three.
