Translation	Received from Mr. Pierre Doio four boisseaux (1) of wheat for three and a half aunes (2) of bombazin (3) that Mr. Tancheluy sold for me in the month of October 1690. Notes 1 In the French text, bo with a line across the b is surely an abbreviation of boisseau. 2 Likewise, in the French text, au followed by a flourish is an abbreviation of aune, measure of cloth. 3 According to Randle Catgraves Dictionarie of the French and English Tongues (1611), bombazin is a type of cotton fabric, or cotton/linen fabric.
