Dear Sister
Leah C is quite as comfortable
as she has been. She is however extremely
feeble. Her nervous system quite prostate, and
no appetite. I must say that I have not
all along entertained in my own mind any
doubt as to her recovery. Why it is so I can
not tell. It seems improper upon my mind
from some cause that she would. But
still the hand of the Lord is already up[on]
us in a way we thought not of, and wh[at]
his will is concerning us for the future we c[an]
not tell. But with humble submission will
we endeavor to rely upon his goodness and
mercy, believing he will overrule all things
for our good and his glory. Her cough
is quite loose and she expectorates more
freely. She is taking Cod Liver Oil, which
I think has been service to her cough. Her
debility appears to be in a great dysu (dyspnea) of
of a nervous character. I know of nothing
more that I can now add with regard to
her present situation. Dear sister we need
your prayers, pray for us, give our love to all
and accept my continued assurances of regard
