Description	The large frame house was built as a private home for William E. DuBois in 1899. Daniel Shaw bought the house and property in 1932 for $12,000. He immediately built a large swimming pool and pond by erecting a 60-foot-long dam across the Millbrook. Within a year, Mr. Shaw sold the property to Josef and Julia Bruckmayer. They ran the Millbrook House as a summer resort for 25 years.
