Description	The stone house with smaller frame section located at 93 Main Street in the village of New Paltz, N.Y. was owned by Oscar C. Hasbrouck before his death in 1899; then by his widow Theora until her death in 1919. The residential property became a public library known as the Elting Memorial Library in 1920. In this damaged photograph Oscar poses at the front gate bordered by fencing; his wife Theora stands behind him on the front porch. A young boy can be seen to the left of the porch; a woman with dark hair standing to the right of the porch has been identified as the Hasbrouck's maid. The photograph predates 1899.
