Description	Postcard showing monument on site of forge used in Revolutionary times. Colorized. The forge was known as Brewster's Forge. The forge was used to make some of the links in the chain that was placed in the Hudson River to stop the British in the Revolutionary War. The stone was erected by Quassaick Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution of Newburgh, N.Y. 1901.
Notes	Mr. Brewster's home is now the restaurant called Schleslinger's Steak House on Route 300 in New Windsor, NY. Postmarked Nov. 23, 1910, Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y. Addressed to Miss Nan Wright, Meadow-Brook, Orange Co., N.Y.
