Description	This is the only known photograph of the 1915 Chester Erie Station agent’s office taken while the station was in operation. It was taken in October, 1922 for use in the Erie Magazine. L-r: Robert Marvin, Station Master & John I. Edwards. Items observed in Station Agent's office: Ticket Window to Men's Waiting Room was replaced by a door during 1999 restoration (required by building code); New York City Telephone Directory; Great American Insurance Co. Calender; A.M. Wallace Calender; Conklin Lumber Thermometer (65F); Nicholas Owens Calender; Two person desk (see: Story of the desk below); Express Locomotive illustration; Chester National Bank Calender; Electric Meter & Service Disconnect Panel; 48 Star USA Flag; Cunard Lines RMS Aquitana (Sister Ship to the Titanic); F.S. Royster Guano Company, Baltimore Calender; "End of a Perfect Day"; Photo of President Warren G. Harding; Sam Vero Calender; Walter [Conklin] Builder's Supply, Chester Calender, Copy Press (A careful record of each transaction was kept in a logbook, stacked on the radiator. Copies made via wet process were sent to the Section Office the following day. Story of the desk: Bill Murray, interviewed by Norma Stoddard at the Farm Fest 2000-09-03, stated that: When the Chester Erie Station was to be closed in 1955, Don Barrell arranged for the desk to be given to the Chester Fire Dept. But since Sugar Loaf Fire Co. came into existence shortly after the Station actually closed, it went there. So the desk was put in the little building which was originally Sugar Loaf school house. It was in the right side in the office/meeting room at the Sugar Loaf Firehouse. The left side held two bays for the fire trucks. This desk returned to the Erie Station after forty five years as a gift from the Sugar Loaf Fire Co.
