The Kinderhook Knitting Company occupied the Hoes Building (built 1882) in downtown Kinderhook. The Kinderhook Knitting Company manufactured knitted caps and mittens when it opened and moved to making knitted underwear in the early twentieth century. The operation became the Kinderhook Knitted Cap Company sometime after World War I and returned to manufacturing knitted caps and mittens until it closed prior to World War II.
