Title	Croix de Guerre (1915)

Description	Maltese cross with medallion in center. On the medallion is a head with a laurel wreath surrounded by the words "Republique Francaise." Behind the cross are two swords with points up. The medal is suspended from a ribbon of six wide green and seven narrow red stripes. A metal bar goes through the top of the ribbon upon which is attached a metal five pointed star. The back of the medal is marked "1914 / 1916" The French Republic awarded this military decoration to members of Section 3 of the American Ambulance Field Service in recognition for services rendered October 15 - 17, 1915. Henry Eglinton Montgomery Suckley was a member of Section 3 at this time.
