Description	Inventory form for building located on East Lake Rd; west side recording the following information: Samuel Bornstein (owner at time of inventory). 3-story; rectangular; stucco over tile; flat roof; dentils; quoins; Ionic pilasters; 6/1; 9/1; fanlight over entrance; porte-cochere; molded exterior panels; 6 chimneys. Built c. 1909-1912. John F. Harris "a Chicagoan and erstwhile partner of bet you a million Gates" built this mansion on a bluff overlooking Tuxedo Lake in the early 1900's. According to Tuxedo Park Association Land Records, Mr. Harris purchased the property in 1909. The house is indicated on the 1912 Map. In 1937, the estate was inherited by his son George U. Harris and was later acquired by the Academy of Mount St. Vincent.
