Description	Inventory form for building located on West Lake Rd; west side recording the following information: Col. David Wagstaff, Jr. (owner at time of inventory). Georgian; multi-storied under high hip roof; red brick; limestone trim; cornice; frieze; soffit; porte-cochere; portico; tracery windows; gable dormer windows (casements); quoins; 5 brick chimneys. Built c. 1900 by Bruce Price 1845-1903. Illustrated in Brick Builder and American Estates & Gardens as the country residence of Hiram Price Collier. This stately Georgian mansion typifies the estates built in Tuxedo Park, an exclusive community for the wealthy and socially prominent of the late 19th century. Built in 1900 and designed by Bruce Price, it was "well known for its commodius servants quarters". Price Collier, 1860-1913, was the son of Robert Laird Collier, a distinguished Unitarian Minister of Maryland stock; married Katherine Delano, an aunt of Franklin Delano Roosevelt; European editor of the Forum, 1893-95; founder and first president of the Tuxedo Park Library.
