Description	Inventory form for building located on Wee Wah Rd. recording the following information: Joseph Seliarno (owner at time of inventory). A two and a half story frame construction, basically rectangular, with stone tower and second floor overhang. Basic gambrel with gambrel insets. Jalousie porch and windows. Modern glass entrance. Large picture windows. Gabled dormers. Cement chimney. Large tiles set in stucco. Built in 1891 by William A. Bates (1853-1922). Alexander T. Van Nest purchased this property in 1891 from the Tuxedo Park Association. Architect, William Bates, designed residences of varied types, many of them in the Park. The 1899 issues of American Architecture and Building News are filled with large renderings of these homes: Herbert C. Pell, William R. Garrison, Casimir de Rham, George Griswold, T.C. Condon and Charles Coster - and this Van Nest house. Mr. Scully has this to say about Bates, "In general, his work remained very English, some of it extraordinarily smooth and integrated but obviously dependent upon the English Queen Anne...for its formal vocabulary". This is possibly the poorest example of Bates' work in the Park, it has many alterations and additions and has been converted to modern apartment units. Addison Cammack, well known financier, once lived here, 1936-1941.
