In the Name of God Amen I Daniel Clemence of the Town of New Windsor and County of Orange of State of New York being in a weak and low state of health, but of sound and dis[?]ing mind and memory - Calling to mind the uncertainty and frailty of human life and the certainty of death, do make this my last will and Testament -- And first of all I give my body to the dust from whence it came to be buried in a decent manner, in full hopes of a glorious resurrection at the last day - My spirit I resign to God who gave it, hoping for mercy in & through the rightiousness death & suffering of the Lord Jesus Christ - Also what property either real or personal or Mined, that God of his wise providence has entrusted to me I dispose of it & it is my will that be disposed of in the following manner -- First - It is my will that my funeral charges and just debts be paid out of the [?] of my personal Estate by my executors, hereafter named - Second I give & bequeath to my two sons Samuel and Thomas and to their heirs forever, all my real estate, that is to say, I give to my son Samuel, all the land with the buildings thereon standing that lies east of the following bounds (viz) beginning at a Stake of stones on the North line of my land running nearly east and west bounded on Isaac Denistons land - from said stake of stones nearly a south [?] in a direct line to a Walnut sapling marked with three nothces on two sides, thence nearly west to a stake of stones near a pair of barns, thence nearly south as the highway runs to the South entity of my land - And to my son Thomas I give all my real estate lying to west of the [?] bound [?} lines - and in case my son Thomas should die before he arrives to the age of twenty one years it is my will that the lands above bequeathed to him should belong to my son Samuel in fee simple. Thirdly - I give and bequeath to my other children (viz) Daniel, John, Julia, Elizabeth and Phebe the following legacies to be paid by my son Samuel as soon
