Description	Nineteen hexagon patches (with paper still inside) have been sewn together to form this pincushion which has been finished off with silk fringe similar to that used on women's clothing in the 1850s and '60s. The color combination and patterns seem fairly haphazard and suggest that this pincushion was made from leftover hexagons used for another project - possibly a quilt.
Notes	Several similarities have been made between the fabric found on this hexagon pincushion to a needlework kit, needle case, and a quilted pillow.
