Description	Examples of cross stitch marking on domestic textiles and historical clothing. Several of the markings were found on chemises, nightgowns, camisoles, petticoats and men shirts. Initials for Hylah Bevier Hasbrouck (H. B, HHB, H. HB), Laura Tallmadge Hasbrouck (L T HB), Ann Bevier Hasbrouck (A. B. HB, A. BV, A. H. B., A. B.) and Louisa (or Levi) Hasbrouck (L. HB). The cross-stitch markings were done in cotton, linen, and wool, in several different colors.
