Hylah Bevier attended the Litchfield Female Academy, in Litchfield, Connecticut around 1811. She would have been 13 years old when she created this needlework at Litchfield Female Academy. Her six sisters also attending the Litchfield Female Academy around the same time period. Several embroidered pictures created by the Bevier girls are preserved at the Historic Huguenot Street.
