Title	Calvin Tomkins' wallet
Description	This brown leather wallet belonged to Calvin Tomkins. It contains business papers dealing with the schooner Henry Clay which carried materials from the Tomkins Cove Lime quarry to New York. The papers date from 1841 to 1865. The most recent is a receipt from the IRS for 1865 taxes paid by Calvin Tomkins in the amount of $39.46! Writing on the wallet itself indicates that it may dates from 1821.
