An indictment brought in court by the grand Jury against Dirck negroman of Jan Heermans viz Ulster ss In the eleventh yeare of Anne of great brittain france
and Ireland queen defender of the faith &c The Jurors for our sovereign lady the queen impaneled & sworne to inquire for the body of the County of ulster upon theire oaths do present Dirck The negroman of Jan heerman of Kingston in said
County for that he the said Dirck on the 31st day Of January in the said eleventh year of our said Sovereign lady the queen that now is at Kingston
Aforesaid in the house of Thomas Van Steenburgon did Enter & then and there with force and armes did Felloniously take steale and carry away sweet cakes Cookies or ginger bread to the value of three- Shillings and other enormitys there & there did do to The grievious damage of the said Thomas Van Steenburgon The evill example of others & against the peace of our Sovereign lady the queen her crowne & dignity and against the laws in those cases made & provided Billa Vera
