Schenectady May 13 59' Mr. P. A. LeFevre Troy University Troy, N.Y.
Dear Brother, Although it is already eleven O,clock I must make time to write to you, two weeks of the term have passed & I have not written a letter yet, & I have several to write, I have settled for the term in a room in College. I have a tollerable (sic) good room & a first-rate chum, that is McAllister, the stewart of our club he is as good a fellow as I have since I met Dougold It has been very warm here too but it was nice & cool in the room, We have some fifteen or twenty new students in all this term Your friend Renolds (I think the name is) from Troy is here, I found that had taken my room at Ostranders, before I came back, so I could not have it.
