Notes	Recipes from a personal recipe book that lists ingredients, measurements and how to properly prepare dessert recipes. Common ingredients include sugar, butter, milk, eggs as well as emptins (homemade yeast) and pearl ash (baking soda). The entire recipe book was formerly known as the "Zachariah Hoffman's Day Book 1801." Clemmy Deyo was the daughter of Josiah Deyo and his third wife, Hannah Merrit. Zachariah Hoffman was the first husband of Maria Terwilliger Deyo (Josiah's second wife), who after the death of Zachariah married Josiah Deyo. Maria Terwilliger Deyo is infamous on Huguenot Street for the murder of her three children and subsequent suicide. It is not clear why Clemmy Deyo used this book, which was originally used by Zachariah to record financial transactions.
