Honored Father
It is with peculiar satisfaction that I am again enabled to address you in these few Lines by this opportunity, and am glad that I am not quite like some others, who in a manner forget where they come from, or a Least don't trouble their heads much about it, as from outward appearance but what passes
internal we are not capable to comprehend
We understand from the News papers as a
fact that Old Revr:d Doc:t Thomas Clarck at
South Carolina has arrived at the end of his Journey through this Valley of tears and perhaps now entered in to the peacefull [sic] Regions of everlasting felicity and glory there to remain world with out end
We likewise hear this pleasing, interesting and important
intelligence A body of 1300 Voluntiers went upon
an expedition from Kentucky under Gen.l Scott on
horseback. they left Licking a few Day Before Christmas.
