I have just received your letter and read it,it gives me great satisfaction and I
realy [sic] feel very gratefull (sic) for so long a one just right but I know how much it has
cost you though it dose (sic) me a great deal of good although I am very sorry
to hear you have been so much sick since I left and then again I am glad to
hear you all getting better I cannot recommend (sic) anything for sisy for the
enfluenza (sic) is such a strange disease it seems it must have it course I hope it will
not last as long as mine has I have a little Indian rattle box for sisy I wish she
had it tell Thanel I will fetch him __ some Indian curiosity as the (sic) are very plenty
about here, also tell Vina and Pheby to be good girls and take good care of the baby
and I will fetch them a prety (sic) little basket
Give my love to all kiss the children
for me write whenever it is convienent (sic)
and recieve (sic) this from your affectionate

if I should get very homesick while Elizabeth

me and if I derive no bennffit [sic] there is no use in staying
tell Gitty when you see her that you have [heard] form
me and that I will write to her as soon as I can it tires [me] very much to write while I have this pain it is right over
my ___ and you must excuse this writing [on this] acount (sic)
Mr. Bevier and his wife and nephew came here on friday
they think of staying only a week Mr. Bevier thinks the waters wont
cure him, this week Elsie expects her aunt and Fatherinlaw and E_____
She had a letter from Mathew yesterday, Elsie is in good spirits and has
been ever since she has been more than I expected but we have such good company
There are two ladies here from conneticut [sic] one is an Episcopal ministers wife
they are very pleasant and sociable and then they are about twenty others about
like ourselves We have also had the Rev Mr. Mills from Bluminburg
and a Rev Mr Schoonmaker from Long ilund,(sic) it was a great satisfaction
to have two Dutch Ministers from our own place as it were
