Dear Mother & kiddies,
Why don’t you write
mother I haven’t heard from
you in almost a week but
maybe I’ll get a letter to-day
from you.
Orbelle and Tilly Quick two
sisters just across the road
from here has got that disease.
The fellows on the lower part
of the line are dying off to
beat heck the Lieut. Suttle told
us. There is about 2000 cases in
Kingston now. Corporal Kipps
father-in-law has it, also his
sister. His brother who is in the
federal army has the phnewmonia [sic]
and arnt they don’t expect him
to live. Now mother please don’t
worry about me, If anything
