This Indenture Made the twenty second day of June in the Year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty four Between Thomas Morris Marshal of the United States of America for the Southern District of New York of the First part and Anthony Yelverton of the Town of Goshen in the County of Orange and State aforesaid Farmer of the Second part. Whereas by virtue of a certain Writ of Fieri Facias issued out of and under the deal of the District Court of the United State of America for the Southern District of New York to the said Marshal directed and delivered he was commanded that of the goods and chattel of Peter Townsend Isaac Townsend and John Springsteed of his district or of the goods and chattel of either of them he cause to be made a certain debt on ninety thousand dollars which the United State of America lately in the District Court of the United State of America for the Southern District of New York recovered against then and also seventy one dollars and ninety five cents which were adjudged to the said United State by the said District Court for their damages which they had sustained as well by reason of the detention of the said debt as for their costs and charges by them about their suit in that behalf expended of which the said Peter Townsend Isaac Townsend and John Springsteed are convicted as appears of record and if sufficient goods and chattel of the said Peter Townsend Isaac Townsend and John Springsteed or of either of them could not be found in his district where of the could cause to be made the debt and damages aforesaid that then he cause the debt and damages aforesaid aforesaid to be made of the lands and tenements where of the said Peter Townsend Isaac Townsend and John Springsteed were jointly seized on the fourteenth day of May in the Year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty one or at any time afterwards in whose hands soever the same might be and if sufficient of the land and Tenements whereof the said Peter Townsend Isaac Townsend and John Springsteed were jointly seized as aforesaid could not be found then that he cause the said debt and damages to be made of the lands and tenements whereof the said Peter Townsend Isaac Townsend and John Springsteed or of either of them were separately and severally seized on the day and year last aforesaid on at any time afterwards in whose hands soever the same might be and that he have that money before the said District Court of the United States for the Southern District of New York at the City of New York on a certain day now past to under to the said United States for their debt and damages
