Description	Wooden rocker type blotter to pick up excess writing ink so that it does not smear.
Notes	Handle screws through top, into felt lined base to clamp blotting paper. Rocker blotters were ‘rocked’ over freshly penned writings to soak up (blot) excess ink, thus avoiding smearing and were in common use from the late 1880s until the 1950s.
